Julia Shields Studio is a belief in concept-driven design, shaping distinctive spaces for visionary clients working with existing buildings rather than a blank page. The practice works across interior architecture, interior design and object design, multidisciplinary by nature and human-led in practice.

About

The studio's approach grows out of an expansive set of parallel interests: anthropology, medicine, and years of regenerative farming, each in its own way a study of people, the body, and what it means to steward something living. Adaptive reuse continues that thread, an homage to a building's history and a hand in authoring the next chapter of its story. The connections arrived more by serendipity than by plan, but the pattern held.
